What a great weekend!
My initial thought, is "when do we do it again"?
The Saturday night get-together was lots of fun, seeing old friends, and even making new ones. I am glad that we were able to get a pretty decent group shot in before everyone left (I know we did miss a few anyways).
If you would have only told me that Rose would be at the Historical Society event on Sunday (and she was), that alone would have got me there. Rose was my first pro, and words can't say how glad I was to see her again... Thank you Rose!
Add to that, the Mayor making his speech right next to the Motor City display (great job Tony and Steve), and so many people showing up to see it... Quite an afternoon!
Sunday night at The Great Skate was a lot of fun. Even though I had on my outdoor rollerblades (10 wheels and hard to skate on), I was still kicking it pretty good, even though the usual suspects (Earl, Greg, Tim), and a new one (Rick) were skating circles
around me... I am inclined to be looking for a new pair of Riedell's and Snyder's in the near future!
And 'thank you' to the management at Great Skate for coming through with the passes for us!
This, I wouldn't mind doing on a regular basis, if anyone's interested.
