Sweet memories from such a cool place. Races, friendships, boyfriends.........Remember Fay and Rocky Richards, Chuck Bruner, Bonnie Amspacher, Kathy McGillivray, John Moceri, Mike, Roger, and on and on. MANY a day and nite spent there. I Went to Skateland at 15 and Dequindre for inline skating, and almost fell over. THERE IN THE TICKET BOOTH WAS NO ONE BUT PAUL HAKIM!!!! He owns that rink. He left early on for the war as a pilot, and was at the Rink in the very beginning.......big heart throb for alot of us! LOL! Lived a block and a half behind the rink and White Ways!!! Remember Stevie Wonder singing up there when they first starte concerts and he was brand new! Great memories......
