I definitely have to say that skating at Motor City was the most memorable times of my childhood. I was pretty shy, but I actually started to come out of my shell there. Im 41 now and still have my old speed skates that I bought from Eddie Hakim, although I did just buy a new pair of speed skates (wow, theyre so much more comfortable nowadays) Ive been going to Skate World of Troy just to get in some exercize. Wow, it brings back the memories. Im happy to see that a lot of people (of all ages) still go skating regularly.
