Nick & Nancy (Wingerter) Barbier

Family History!!!!!

We skated at Motor City from 1962-1968, married in 1971 and have two daughters Wendy and Penny. Wendy is currently a Real Estate agent and has two daughters, Ashley and Allison. Penny, a housewife, has three children, Brooklyn, Chase, and Grace. We are fortunate to have our daughters living close.

We moved from Michigan to Tennessee in 1980 to pursue self employment with my families business. I later worked at various part-time jobs and now stay home and help with the grandchildren. Nick has worked for the Tennesseen Newspaper as a District Manager and now works as a Mall Maintenance Manager.

In 1996, we built a custom home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Nancy’s sister, Shelley, lives in Kentucky; Sharron lives in Michigan; Denise and my mother also live in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Janet lives in Florida; and Duane lives in Texas.

Nick has a sister living in Tennessee and the other five siblings live in Michigan. In 1988, Nick's brother, David, passed away in Roseville, Michigan.

Nancy remains active with the church, playing tennis, taking walks at night, and playing cards with friends.

Nick served in the Army from 1968-1969 and was in the Reserves from 1989-1991.

My daughter, Penny had her 4th child "Valerie" {2007}

We have been on four cruises and traveled to various places. We are very happy with the Motor City website and hope to continue to hear from past skaters.
