I have a Klotz violin that was made over 250 years ago. It was appraised at about $4,800 about 10 years ago. I must mention that it had a repair done to it. My niece borrowed it and had the bridge shortened without my knowledge. It was later restored to its original condition, but the neck broke away from the body. It was professionally repaired. I don't know where you live, but there is a violin store in Studio City, California. I am going to bring it in again to have it appraised and sell it. If I find out anything, I will let you know.
