I am still around. Live in the Seattle area now. Was in Detroit recently and finally got to see the Gardella File in the Burton Library at the Main Lib in Detroit. What a farce! I waited years to see this. There were a few obits,most of the same person and that was it.
The Holy Family church file only contain photos from around 1936 or so and some from the 70s. I guess the Italian newspapers are the only ones that may have covered the dedication and builing of the church.
