Two weeks ago my father in law showed me a violin obviolusly old. Passed down to him from his father and from his father.
It is a Josef Guarnerius fecit
cremonae anno 1728 IHS
made in Germany
It requires refurbishing. Can anyone suggest a. a current value b. if it is worth refurbishing and c.,if it is worth it where can we bring it to get the job done?
We are located in Suffield Connecticut, near the western Massachusetts line approximately 100 miles to Boston and 20 miles to Hartford, Conn.

Appreciate any help at jaykwik@aol.com

Thank you,
Jim
